I absolutely love the rich color of these tiles and the sea glass like finish. The blue is not quite as bright in person, but it’s still pretty. They came well packed and separated for shipping but there still appears to be some scratches on them. I think that might just be a an unfortunate thing that goes along with this kind of finish. It does not hide any imperfections like a glossy finish does. I think it would also show soap scum and residue, especially in the darker Colors. The tile is lovely. The red/orange hue shows a little through the white coloring though. One thing to note is to make sure the grouter knows not to fill in the gaps on edge of the surface. These are 6"x2" Bejmat tiles (150x50x13mm). Bejmat are a particular style of rectangular Glazed Zellige tiles, with slabs cut before firing. These thinner bejmat help reduce the weight for wall applications. Produced by hand in Fez, Morocco, these Moroccan mosaic floor tiles are known the world over. Still made with the local clays, and fired in kilns powered by olive pits, these rectangular floor tiles are authentic Zellige (zellij).
