I love this toilet system! It self sanitizes and I have no more scrubbing around the base of the toilet. It works as expected and looks so elegant.

As I began the plans to renovate my master bath I wanted to put in a toilet/bidet combo as they have in Europe. Most of the ones I found were very ugly and looked like hospital toilets! But once I saw the Kohler Veil- I knew it was the right one. It is beautiful, streamline, and very contemporary. I was worried since its' attached to the wall and not a floor model but it actually is a great space saver. Although it is pricey- its worth it. I did not give it 5 stars because it is difficult to install (at least for my plumber and contractor) but there is even a You Tube video that is very helpful.

The biggest disappointment is that this did not come as a complete package ready to install. Once the package arrived we learned that the in-wall carrier system requires a special electrical box made only by Kohler (part #1201721) to fit into the carrier system and they do not include it. A standard sized electrical box will not fit. The installation video on YouTube didn't mention this either. The video only mentions the small plumbing valve you must buy separately as Kohler does not include it either. (Luckily this is a fairly easy sized valve to find locally.) Wayfair did not carry the special electrical box at time of writing this review so we were left with trying to locate the part ourselves which we found only at New York Replacement Parts where we could order it online. With duty and shipping charges this simple part cost more than $100 Canadian and delayed our renovation project a month while we waited for it to arrive. Surely this would be a simple thing for Kohler and Wayfair to solve considering the price of this toilet. While we waited for the part, we rigged up the bidet seat temporarily so we could test it out. Pros: The toilet looks very modern and looks quite beautiful for a bidet toilet. The heated seat is nice with 3 heat settings. The air deoderizer is a fan that comes on in the toilet itself when you sit on the seat which works great. The washing features and settings work nicely. You can save some of your setting on the remote for two different people. Cons: The drying feature does not work well. Even set on high and letting it run several times for a total of 10 minutes, we were still wet. Did no one test this feature at Kohler? Tissues or towels will still be needed. The blue light which lights up the inside of the toilet at night looks very cool but it is the very type of blue light which wakes you up and is removed from computer tablets for night mode. When we used the toilet for the first time in the night, we didn't sleep a wink afterwards. Luckily you can turn this light off. There is also a little green light on top of the seat which is very bright and emits that same type of light that keeps you awake. We have put tape over it so problem is solved. However, every time you touch a key on the remote it makes a loud beeping sound which is also annoying at night. We have not found a way to turn that off so we just avoid using it at night. The programming for the remote is strange. You can only save the settings for one function which you can choose. The rest all have to be set manually each time creating all that loud beeping. Overall, this is a beautiful looking toilet which has a few good features but for the price, there is a lot that could be improved.
