I'm an architect and have specified hundreds of Kohler products so I know it to be an excellent brand. However this sink, which I bought for my own house, arrived with small chips on the underside of the rim which we did not notice before installation. Within a couple of months we had a ring of rust all around the rim. Wayfair did nothing to help, they sent me to Kohler for a solution. Kohler did the right thing and replaced the sink but I can only guess that the product was an open box reject that Wayfair was re-selling. This is my fourth problem with a Wayfair product in the course of my home renovation and I think I'm signing off the brand for good.

If you are installing a vessel faucet with your vessel sink, you should install the faucet first. Once the faucet is installed, position the sink on the countertop. Then, use the sink mounting ring and hardware to hold and secure the sink to the countertop (make sure someone is helping you!). Lastly, connect the drain from the inside of the sink and then connect the p-trap to the bottom of the drain.
