This door seems very robust and well built. It slides very well, quite and firm. The only negative comment is the many manufacturer stickers on the door were hard to get off after it was installed.

It slides effortlessly and it is extremely sturdy! The set up took about an hour or so. The manual were so informative and easy to follow. Im so happy with the this door. Easy to clean.Great value. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been inattentively looking at shower doors for three years.  I have replaced my multipurpose shower tub with a shower unit and a standalone tub.  Since this has happened my teenage son cannot figure out how to keep water in the shower.  Looking at the deep abyss of shower doors it was easy to get lost.  I chose Kohler due to the American made brand and style.  The doors showed up on time and the packaging was well and intact.  It seems that someone would have to try to damage these doors on delivery.  I am a Automotive Technician by trade but by no means a carpenter.  I watched a youtube 30 minute installation guide before attempting this installation.  I prepped the are and began early one saturday morning.  Unboxing was smooth and I accounted for all parts immediately  Then read the instruction from front to back before picking up a single tool.  I followed the instructions step by step and did everything as instructed.  I was extremely unsatisfied when after mounting the header with the supplied template.  My doors were approximately 2 & ¾ inches short.  I read the instructions twice more and called a local contractor over who confirmed my procedure.  He confirmed that the template was incorrect.  So now I have a shower surround with 2 holes in it in an obvious area.  I am now forced to consider replacing the surround to remedy this or live with the holes that I have siliconed shut.  One thing that is frustrating is that Kohler technical assistance is closed on saturday and only open Monday thru Friday from 8-5pm - which is an average work day for most people. As a homeowner that works a Monday to Friday job this bites.  Further installation trouble came when installing the fixed glass towel rack.  It is 6 inches too short.  At this point I wonder if the wrong hardware installation kit was installed with my kit.  I will have to take some personal time to call them during the week.  At the time of the review this has not happened yet.  Hopefully Kohler makes this right.  Overall I am disappointed with the total product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I hung this Kohler Elate bath sliding door by ourselves yesterday and it couldn’t have been easier. The door was delivered to us well packaged and without damage. The instructions tell you exactly what tools you will need to install and they are easy to understand and follow. This was definitely a two person job but wasn’t hard to do and only took us a couple of hours including gathering supplies. We’ve been slowly updating our recently purchased 1970’s home and these shower doors provide a major update for our guest bath. They are beautiful and sleek and very well constructed.

You will definitely need someone there to assist you, however. Looks wonderful after the job is done. Opens and closes with ease, really completes the bathroom. A beautiful upgrade! A+++
