Installed this faucet this evening, I removed the aerator prior to install so I could flush any sediment that might be in the system. Went to re-install the aerator afterwards using the included key, because of the vandal resistant design and the poor tolerances on the design of the faucet I was unable to get the aerator back on without potentially cross-threading it. So, I removed the faucet and tried to install it that way, the inner faucet mechanism was mis-aligned, so I was still unable to get the aerator to thread on. I tried the one off of my old faucet, that threaded on ok. That's when I realized the plastic inners of the faucet come out slightly, so I pulled out the spigot, wedged it slightly out of the faucet and attached the the aerator. Then re-installed the faucet and it seems to work ok. That being said, the designer(s) of the aerator and inners of this faucet need to be smacked in the head with a tack hammer. This faucet is not durable enough to be used in a public application so I don't understand the need for vandal resistance aerator. By the way, I was replacing a previous version of the same faucet and the inners in that are all brass/copper. The inners on this new version are some sort of plastic similar to HDPE, whatever it is, it's not very sturdy. You need to go back to the drawing board on this one Kohler.
