• Porcelain tiles have low porosity, are extremely durable, and are low maintenance. Polished and honed porcelain tiles require the use of an impregnating or penetrating sealer before grouting, otherwise, grout release must be used. Common household spills are easy to clean with the use of a mop, warm water, and a pH-neutral cleaner. Acid-based cleaners and harsh chemicals should not be used.
• The maximum allowable installation offset is 33%. The minimum grout joint must be 3/16 inches. Please refer to the most current TCNA handbook. The manufacturer strongly recommends the use of a leveling system during installation. Tile is subject to variation in color, shade, sizing, texture, and finish. Images and samples may not 100% match the product received. Field, mosaic and trim tile may not match 100%. Blend tiles from different boxes to achieve even color distribution. Conduct a dry mock layout under proper lighting conditions and inspect the product. Installation constitutes acceptance of the product. For installation of all polished, polished glazed, and honed porcelain/ceramic tiles, use a grout release before grouting and a grout color that matches the predominant color of the tile. Refer to the grout manufacturer's specifications to ensure the use of proper grout. Refer to the tile manufacturer's specifications to determine if the tile is appropriate for commercial applications. Tiles with a polished finish are not appropriate for wet or exterior floor applications. Do not use acidic cleaners. Before installation, the installer must blend tiles from several boxes to achieve an even distribution of color range. It is the consumer's responsibility to inspect the product before installation to ensure satisfaction. Once installed, the product is deemed accepted. Check the manufacturer's specifications as some mosaic tiles may not be appropriate for wet applications.
