I think it seemed cheap because it’s lightweight which is obviously what you want for a baby. The color is a nice simple beige. It goes with other Crane Baby items I have for my baby in his nursery. This baby blanket ranges from 0-9 months, so I expect to have it for a while; and it's perfectly weighted. Light enough, but not thin. The material is nice/quality and I love the snaps in the arm area to accommodate a small baby and then when baby grows up to 9 months (you can unsnap and make wider).
