Based on an original Asmara painting inspired by an antique French rug and the lyrical gardens of Provence seen on a summer night. Made with fine quality wool yarns this handmade needlepoint rug has many subtle color shades similar to antique rugs. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets. Used with a pad this rug helps to keep rooms warm in winter, cool in summer, and dampen urban noise.

The rug was beautiful. Colors were vibrant. Unfortunately there was no backing on it which made it too loose (like a blanket) to put over my wool rug which I use as a padding. Also weight described was 100lb. I am 78yo and lifted it with no problem. My guess is it's probably 40-50lbs. the most.. Mary. MA. Tue Jun 06 2023
