Born in Modesto, California, and raised in Long Beach, California, artist Ryan Brown's focus in college was studying business. Ryan took a few college art courses but is mostly self-taught. He finds pleasure in studying the work of artists he enjoys and creates his own work from inspiration. Ryan believes that Art is human creativity. It is meant to inspire and evoke emotion, just like music. He finds his inspiration through everyday life and sees each moment as an opportunity for creating new art. Ryan enjoys working with a variety of mediums, but he prefers to work with oils and charcoal.

Artist D'Alessandro Leon draws from his love of early 20th-century art to capture the aftermath of a seaside storm. Soft light breaks through the parting clouds and the storm moves farther out to sea.

Artist Janice Sadler created her painting series in watercolor as an ode to her Southern California home. She particularly enjoys this medium because the subtle colors intermingle, wash, and flow into each other to evolve into new hues.
