Flora Scalamandré, wife of Franco Scalamandré, skillfully hand-drew the signature motif, which would later become the renowned Scalamandré Zebras design. This lively pattern depicts two Zebras prancing around politely placed arrows set against a lively colored ground. The playful and captivating design instantly captivated audiences, quickly joining the product line and ultimately achieving fame through appearances in notable films such as Wes Anderson’s “The Royal Tenenbaums”.
