Freja is a collection of stools and bench that comes out of a wish to create sculptural furniture with the soothing visual appeal of Scandinavian furniture making traditions and a Japanese mode of expression. The archetypal furniture making principles of static and ornament converge to give Freja its elegant, yet simple character. Seen from different angles legs and aprons optically interweave to form a trellis, the seat floating lightly with either woven paper cord or leather as only decorative feature.

Launched in 2013, the Utility collection was named after and inspired by a sense of utility, defined as usefulness, functionality, and efficiency. It is a no-nonsense deliberation of durable, yet comfortable chairs and stools that recall industrial aesthetics from factory and school-house furniture with a touch of contemporary sophistication. The collection has been wildly popular for hospitality projects given its design versatility and aesthetic flexibility. It incorporates many qualities of two opposing worlds - it is masculine yet rounded, industrial yet sophisticated, utilitarian yet fashionable, and contemporary with traditional details. The latest extension to the collection widens the range of pieces for even more potential applications. With these new pieces, the Utility collection can serve even more diverse hospitality projects as well as branch into the vibrant realm of commercial and office spaces.

Gathering at the kitchen counter becomes a little more inviting when comfort is paired with the warmth and character of beautifully finished wood. The Archives Counter Stool brings a refined presence to casual dining with a gracefully curved wood back that wraps the sitter in a sense of support while giving the silhouette a distinctive architectural quality. A high clarity Classic Walnut finish over figured quartered walnut veneers accentuates the natural movement of the grain with exceptional richness and depth. A generously upholstered seat in beige performance fabric creates a soft contrast against the warm walnut frame. Tailored welt trim adds subtle definition, while the performance fabric makes the stool beautifully suited to the everyday rhythms of kitchens and entertaining spaces. Equally at home around a kitchen island or counter height table, the Archives Counter Stool elevates casual seating without making it feel overly formal. Its combination of expressive walnut, graceful curves, and neutral upholstery brings timeless traditional character into the heart of the home with a sophisticated sensibility for today.
