This is the original, the one that’s set the standard for all Fireclay farmhouse sinks with the classic apron front design. The Lancaster™ is made by hand in the same way since 1897 and is still in use today in 100-year-old English homes. Named for the county of Lancashire, the region where Shaws® sinks are made, the Lancaster has thicker walls and a lustrous surface that’s glazed not once, but twice. Durable, distinctive, and authentic, the Lancaster is for those who seek an original and believe that making a statement is one they make for themselves.

Fits perfectly. Looks great. Exactly what I was looking for!. Kathleen. Duvall, WA. Sat Dec 28 2024

Since 1892, Allia™ fine fireclay sinks have been crafted in Limoges, the region celebrated for exemplary porcelain. It is in this part of France where clay is remarkably durable and richly lustrous. Each Allia™ sink is covered with a thick layer of luminous glaze, which fuses with the clay to provide an extremely strong surface combined with a resplendent sheen. Impervious to stains and chips, Allia™ sinks are as easy to maintain as they are beautiful to behold. Our range of shapes and styles gives pure functionality a high-gloss tone.

Moved into a new home and don’t know what brand the kitchen sink is. Measured the width and length based on the edge of the counter and it came to 28 X 17. This grid fits in the bottom of the sink perfectly since the sink curves at the bottom. It’s made of substantial quality material. Expensive but I think worth it. Looks good.. Rachel. Rye, NY. The Shaker™ apron front fireclay sink is a modern interpretation of the 1897 original. Named for the design movement that believed less is more, this Shaker farmhouse sink takes a minimalist approach. Instead of the iconic apron front with rounded corners, the Shaker has a clean, rectangular shape with squared-off sides and thinner walls for a slimmer, more minimal look. Durable and lustrous, its classic farmhouse roots and authenticity are always apparent. And like all Shaws sinks, the Shaker is made by hand to last a lifetime.

This sink grid makes my sink so much more useful. Just having another place to put a hot pan has made my work in the kitchen much more efficient. The only minor problem is that the opening in the grid is not fully centered on the drain of my sink. It is about an inch off, which I am simply going to have to learn to ignore, I guess.. Cheryl.
