It isn’t easy to find frosted, 40w, A15 bulbs that are made of all glass (instead of having a ring of opaque white plastic around the bottom). This is exactly what I needed for two specific lamps, and I’m very pleased that Wayfair had these. The bulbs fit perfectly and look beautiful in a see-through glass fixture, and the frosted finish keeps them from being too harsh on the eyes. The color of the emitted light is warm and inviting Wayfair’s price was also unbeatable, especially for six bulbs.
For anyone unfamiliar with bulb sizes, an A15 is smaller than a standard bulb, which is an A19. A15 bulbs are designed for smaller fixtures where you don’t want the rounded end of the bulb sticking out past the edge of a shade. A15s are also called ceiling fan bulbs.. Rp. MD. Thu Jun 12 2025
