A design of classic simplicity, Athene by Suzanne Kasler for House of Hampton captures the essence of the celebrated designer’s unique palette and European sensibility. Hand-knotted in Nepal, the cut pile carpet artfully accents solid wool with lustrous silk Greek key bordering the rug to provide a fabulous architectural element and graphic detail. By combining the detail with unusual color combinations, Athene can take on a more masculine or feminine feel that is both sophisticated and striking, providing a very custom look.

Their High Touch Weave brings an ancient weave and fine materials to the present sensibilities of today's interior design. Simple geometric patterns, almost hidden within the weave, with muted accents, soft shades, and neutral earth tones, are the main visual characteristics of this series.

This unique, lovely rug is lovely, just a bit thicker than what we wanted. It really changes color in the sunlight, and that is special to us.. Adrienne. Meridian, ID. Mon Nov 27 2023
