100% Felt rug pad designed to add comfort and floor protection under rugs. Reversible for use on hard surfaces and carpet, ideal for uneven surfaces, and reduces puckering under heavy furniture. It can be cut at home to custom-fit any rug. Ideally, the rug pad should be cut approximately 1-2" short of the rug perimeter. Your rug pad dimensions will be a few inches shorter than the size of the area rug. This is NOT a defect nor is it the wrong item, the rug pads are made this way to avoid causing the rug to have a lip which would get in the way of walking, a door opening etc.

Great rug pad. Holds the rug good and gives the thickness I needed. Julie. Houma, LA. Sun Sep 13 2026

This rug pad creates a secure foundation for your area rug while helping to reduce shifting during everyday use. Designed with a low-profile construction, it sits discreetly beneath the rug without affecting its appearance or overall fit. The non-slip surface helps improve stability on hard floors, while the lightweight design makes it easy to position beneath a variety of rug styles. Suitable for use throughout the home, it adds practical support where it's needed most. Plus, the gripped surface helps keep rugs securely in place.

The pad is a good height. It is wider than my rug and will need about two inches of trimming. The pad also has some rubbing of fibers on one of the corners.. Cynthia. Beaumont, TX. Sun Oct 25 2026

Now that you've found the perfect rug, you may want the perfect rug pad that it offers. Its pad helps secure the rug to reduce wrinkles and prevent slipping. It also prevents the marking and staining of floors. The longevity of our pad adds a layer of support to reduce the crushing of piles to extend rug life. As for comfort, our pad adds cushion and softness. Last but not least, the pad secures and cushions the rug to allow for more effective vacuuming.

A truly eco-friendly alternative to other traditional non-slip pads, Nature’s Grip weds hand-woven jute fibers to natural rubber to maximize your rug’s grip, protect your flooring, and extend your rug's life. Natural rubber is superior to harmful chemicals and adhesives used in synthetic PVC rug pads; it offers better non-skid properties than plastic and will “grip” rather than “stick to” floors. Theirs is combined with a 100% plant jute base, one of the strongest naturally-produced materials available. Nature’s Grip’s low profile is a perfect choice when door clearance or rug thickness is an issue. It’s also a favorite for scatter rugs that should lie flat with flooring.
