This 2x3 Moroccan-style rug is a plush, textural composition , handwoven in wool in India. Drawing from the rich heritage of North African high-pile weaving, this piece introduces a subtle geometric dimension to the classic shag aesthetic. Its soft ivory palette and sculpted high-low texture offer a refined balance of comfort, craftsmanship, and modern design, ideal as a versatile accent in intimate spaces. On the Design:This rug presents a more structured interpretation of Moroccan high-pile design, where geometry emerges through texture rather than color contrast. The field is rendered in a warm ivory tone, allowing the natural wool to highlight the interplay between raised and recessed areas. A series of softly defined diamond and lattice motifs are formed through high-low pile variation, creating a sculptural pattern that feels both subtle and intentional. These geometric forms appear almost embossed into the surface, offering a quiet visual rhythm that reveals itself more fully with light and movement. The plush shag pile enhances the dimensionality of the design, with elevated motifs standing in gentle contrast to the lower ground. This interplay gives the rug a tactile richness while maintaining a minimalist, tone-on-tone aesthetic.Finished with traditional fringe, the piece honors Moroccan weaving traditions while embracing a contemporary design language, where geometry is softened, texture is celebrated, and simplicity becomes the focal point.Custom Capable:All sizes and colors available—inquire for a quote.
