"Road to Canton" is a gloriously fun interpretive pattern celebrating a journey through the countryside. Dogs, Asian pagodas, Ginko trees, and a boat ride down the river all join together in a whimsical pattern painted by John Loecke of Madcap Cottage. We offer two versions of the light-colored pattern in porcelain, and on our Delfern Bench in coral and celadon fabrics. Canton is a narrow jar rectangle-shaped lamp with a rectangle lucite base. Accented with aged brass hardware and crystal ball finial.

Gorgeous! I love it and it looks great in my sunroom. It is a showstopper. Rebecca. Miami, FL. Sun Oct 04 2026

The timeless painterly quality comes to life in a pattern that calls to mind an animal print. Originally painted by madcap cottage designer John Loecke, mill reef is one of our favorite patterns. Under the madcap cottage for the Port 68 collection, the mill reef lamp is a design classic. Scaled in a double gourd shape, this porcelain lamp works well next to the sofa, end table, or buffet. Available in indigo and green with white accents. The lamp will ship with our classic off-white hardback shade (as shown), but the madcap gents suggest mixing it up with one of their patterned shades from their collection. We have also shown the lamp with daffodil Isleboro Eve hardback shade. The sun porch in the madcap's house of bedlam is shown with a pair of lamps with the ever-so-happy, daffodil Isleboro eve shades. As the gents would say - "bring the adventure home". Aged brass finished metal hardware. Metal ball finial.

The lamps are lovely. Nicely made, heavy and substantial. The shipping was superb. No way these were coming damaged. Really happy with them.. Laura. O Fallon, MO. Mon Nov 11 2024

The colorful adaptation of a classic Indian chintz resembles linen printed fabric with exotic flowers and fauna. Catherine of Braganza, queen of King Charles II of England, brought Portuguese trade routes to the British East India Company, spurring fascination with such Asian goods and fabrics.

Didn't realize we already had the same lamps in green. We love it. It has a strong bàse.. Henry. Doylestown, PA. Tue Aug 25 2026

Palampores or tree-of-life patterns have origins in India, where the exotic designs were hand-painted and mordant dyed--then exported to Europe and England for use as elaborate bed hangings and curtains. Scalamandre's timeless tree-of-life print, Pondicherry, is offered in rich blues on cream crackled porcelain for today's classic interior. The grand scale of the exotic tree is softened with finely detailed flowers and foliage and is accented with small birds and animals. This is typical of this historic and favored fabric design. The large lamp in the Scalamandre Maison for PORT 68 collection is accented with solid brass hardware with highlights of chocolate brown on the glazed porcelain. Blackwood cap. Acrylic round base. Round-aged brass finished metal finial.

After a weekend in Southampton, the Madcap's Jason and John were inspired by the local lake with its glorious flora lily pad flowers. John dashed to paint his version of the picturesque weekend. The pattern Lake Agawam is his interpretation. We hope you love the colorful lamp that celebrates this pattern. Strong saturated colors on porcelain accent the lamp with a hexagon-shaped lucite base. Brass hardware. Metal ball finial.

These lamps are absolutely beautiful! The petals of pink flower consist of medium pink and terra cotta. The baby blue in the water is light. The greens are a peaceful, soothing shade. They simply make you smile when you see them!. Deborah. Knoxville, TN. Sat Jun 29 2024

Complement your transitional or contemporary decor with this versatile 32" accent lamp. A warm antique gold leaf finished base supports a sea mist glazed vintage-inspired ceramic vase. An open pentagonal gold finial braces the ivory tapered linen drum shade as it diffuses the light and completes the design. This simple yet stylish light feature will enhance any entryway, bedroom, or living area.
