Fresh Take is a skillful work on canvas that recalls the work of Dutch American abstract painter Willem de Kooning who played a significant role in the development of abstract expressionism, a movement that emerged in the mid-20th century in the United States. In this work, a fragmented figure conveys the expressive potential of strong lines and shapes. The understated color scheme in ivory, smoke gray, charcoal, and pale celadon adds to the work's emotional power. A sensual display of intimacy in an abstract form. Fresh Take creates a bold narrative with a neutral palette in this original piece for Art by TA.

If your walls could exhale, this would be the sound. Neptune captures that soft, horizon-at-dusk feeling—an abstract landscape with a blurred motif that keeps the mood calm, not busy. Tonal blues layer in like shifting light, with soft white accents that open up the “sky” and give the piece breathing room. Painted in acrylic on a felted ground and finished in a solid pine frame, it’s nature—edited.

Summers Greenery 1 is reminiscent of American Abstract Expressionist painter Helen Frankenthaler who was known for her major contributions to the history of postwar American painting. She developed her distinctive and innovative "soak-stain" technique in the early 1950s by pouring thinned oil paint directly onto a raw, unprimed canvas laid on the ground, allowing the colors to soak into the fabric. Summers Greenery 1, a large-scale, non-representational work on canvas, carries on that method by applying thinned layers of color to achieve both translucency and saturation. A wide swathe of thin paint extends across the top of the painting and has been allowed to drip down the canvas, another hallmark of Abstract Expressionism. Muted tones and pastels in sage, alabaster, and khaki, with splashes of cerulean and mustard, bring forward a contemplative mood in this original work of art on canvas.
