This original mixed-media abstract painting by J. Kent Martin is inspired by aerial views of farmland and the ordered patterns of roads and city streets. Built through layers of paint that are scraped, eroded, and stained, the surface reveals intersecting forms and textures that evoke the geometry of cultivated landscapes.

The artist uses watercolors and a soft color palette to create an ethereal landscape that feels otherworldly while remaining recognizable. The open sky and water further serve to open up any space making this the perfect piece for any room.
