I’ve spent many nights working from dusk until dawn, and so much attention is paid to the dawn. Dusk, is the time of day when my work starts - inspiration flows and I cut glass and place it onto metal. Experimenting all night with new ideas, new forms, new materials. Dusk is the beginning for many artists, not just the end of the day. This glass and metal wall sculpture represents beginnings as much as it symbolizes an ending.

The sway of the sea has always fascinated me. Shallow water, turns deep, back to shallow, and on and on. Ultimately, wherever you are in the world, you’re connected to everyone, albeit with a little bit of open water in the way. The waves, the depth, the color, the mysteries, all of these come together in the undulating composition of “Coast 2 Coast”. Let the light bounce across the glass tiles, or move alongside this glass and metal wall sculpture and you will feel the undulation of the sea from coast to coast.

Electricity is the force exposed to man through nature. We have harnessed it enough to experience a power that mankind now relies on upon almost completely. It is constantly flowing and reacting, and it is everywhere around us, yet, one simple touch can have a fatal outcome. How can something so dangerous and powerful bring such innovation to humanity? For me, this is true beauty. It's a balance between man and nature.

Cool and crisp were the words that appeared in my mind one morning. Cool and crisp like the Arctic. Inspired by both the Arctic Sky (white clouds with blue sky) and the reflection of the Arctic Landscape (clear blue water flowing through frozen ice and snow). This dynamic and harmonious composition brings a crisp and cool feel to any environment.

Tryptic is a unique design in the Karo Studios’ Grid Series. It’s modular, it can be displayed as three separate pieces or one piece in three parts. I wanted to give my collectors, a chance to join the creative process, with a wall sculpture that allows for creative displays.
