Options such as wire guarding and a swing arm provide ample opportunities to expand on the old-fashioned elegance already embodied by fixtures. Its pleated shade and finely trimmed silhouette possess an enduring elegance, while its stepped backplate suggests the quality of its construction.

These are even better in person. Used on either side of a bathroom mirror and very happy with how they turned out. Kay. Mission Hills, KS. Tue Oct 20 2026

The fixture puts a functional twist on the traditional cup-and-candlestick-style lamp. A cast thumbscrew adjustment allows the lamp to be raised or lowered—making a fine choice for the bedside. The beauty of superior construction shows in the curvy depth of the cast metal backplate.

Fine silk pleated shades, crystal bobeches, and acrylic side-mounted planes along the arms make Lapeer a texturally rich and luxurious sconce. A faceted mirror backplate of cut crystal adds to the piece’s grand allure.

I love this light fixture. It pairs beautifully with the mirror in this bathroom!. Connie. FL. Sat Nov 07 2020

Rather than the traditional bobeche and candlestick motif, a series of stepped circular rings transition from Clinton’s thin square arms to the smooth columnar holder. A tapered barrel shade completes the cleanly styled composition. Clinton mounts to a 2” x 4” gem box.

Lovely transitional wall sconce. Perfect in the Powder Room!. Karen. Champaign, IL. Thu Dec 03 2015

This fixture reveals these elegantly cast sconces to be traditionally informed. All the hallmarks of early fixtures are there—classical details like ball finials, bobeches, and candle cups, historically honored forms for backplates. Whether you opt for the pleated shade or the rimmed hurricane glass, the historic influence of this fixture, cast to our usual rigorous standards, will shine through.

Very pretty. Sharon. North Falmouth, MA. Fri Jun 26 2026

The fixture’s a refinement of a traditional candle sconce. While antiquated features such as a bobeche and candle sleeve are present, the piece is made of uniformly finished cast metal. Stepped on its backplate and at the bottom of its thickly rounded arm, this fixture’s machined details make it worthy of consideration.
