Versus is a study in contrast, translating the human form into sculptural lighting. Strong metal cones in a range of luxe finishes are anchored on faux stone columns that resemble soapstone, each tipped with a fashion-forward finial for visual intrigue. Inspired by the surrealist art of Leonora Carrington, the collection evokes slender, sharpened silhouettes that occupy space like ethereal figures or walking obelisks. The shapes recall heads, tilted chins, and leaning brows, creating a dramatic interplay of form, shadow, and scale. Versus continues a design exploration begun in 2007, celebrating contrast, elegance, and subtle wit—a nod to the timeless jest of Spy vs Spy and the enduring power of sculptural storytelling in the home.

In 1933, when Frank Lloyd Wright converted the original gymnasium of his Hillside home school, located in spring green, Wisconsin, into a theater, he designed lighting pendants composed of rectangular light boxes and plywood shields to be suspended from the tall ceiling. These fixtures proved to be a lighting innovation, providing comfortable indirect light without the use of glass or shades. In 1952, when the theater was rebuilt following a fire, Wright modified the design of the original fixtures for use in the dining room, attaching them to the oak beam overhead. He found their soft indirect light so pleasing that he had a standing floor lamp of the same design fabricated for use in his own home.

The lamp is an absolute work of Art! The design and craftsmanship are top notch. It is a statement piece that is anchoring the center of my audio room. The cherry co traits well with ny walnut floors and the light is warm and provides a good accent. It was packaged very well with good supports and cushioning.. Ken. Wed Feb 04 2026

Illuminated art or artful illumination? Raw and expressive, the Fracture design stands at over 5’ tall. At home either as a floor lamp or raised onto a console, the Fracture is a sculptural focal point in any space.

Rave reviews from designers accompanied the introduction of the Abacus 5-light floor-to-ceiling plug-in LED Lamp. An extraordinary piece of illumination, the Abacus, true to its namesake, allows for exceptional customization. Its five blown glass globes can be moved up and down their low-voltage cable "rails", by tiny grippers on each side that allow the globes to be positioned at will. With tiny ceiling anchors for stability, this Abacus floor lamp can be plugged into any grounded 3-prong outlet. All Hubbardton Forge products are hand-crafted to last one at a time in Vermont.

"There's just something inherently cool about snaps and leather" is how it all started for HF designer Andy Morter. Using a combination of fine leather, alabaster stone or pressed glass and metal, he adds hidden LED technology to create this SNAPS piece with the added versatility of being a floor plug-in for spaces without an electrical box. This portable SNAPS can be swagged over a piece of furniture, and can easily be extended, as needed beyond its two large and one shorter leather straps with optional additional elements.
