Safar is an exquisite new design inspired by an African baule cloth found in the archive. A complex design the ikat warp has been printed with embroidery added. Adding to Safar`s unique nature the yarns are screen printed before being woven into the weft and then embroidered creating a wonderfully detailed design where the intricate yarn-dying technique comes through beautifully.
This classic ikat spot takes its name from the Meru region of Kenya and displays a fine woven design that contrasts against the chunky slub in the ground.
