The son of a homebuilder, Austin, Texas-based painter and sculptor Paul Meyer developed an early fascination with construction and materials. Today, he looks to cement, mortar, wood, and mixed media to elevate and texturize his paintings. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and more.

Whole Day recalls the modern art period of the 20th century. Dimension is brought forward in a composition of squares, ovals, and rectangles. Distinct color fields of onyx, cream, auburn, bone, and buff offer the work a sense of depth. Taken together, the work offers the viewer an expressive view of the modern art period. A pleasing blend of earth tones and geometric forms, this serene work of abstract art is an original addition to Art by TA.

Mine actually arrived with a different frame than what I was expecting from the listing photos, so I was unsure at first. But once I got it leaned up and styled, I completely changed my mind. The frame I received has a softer, more textured look in person that actually works really well with my space and gives it more character. The artwork itself is beautiful — very neutral, calming, and easy to work into a room without overpowering everything else. It has that high-end abstract look that makes a space feel more finished and layered. Packaging was great and everything arrived in perfect condition. Even though it wasn’t exactly what I expected initially, it ended up being one of those pieces I liked more and more once I saw it in person.. Allyh. Margaretville, NY. Tue May 26 2026
