Widely considered Britain’s greatest artist, John Constable is often called the father of Modern Impressionism. He aimed to “hold the glass up to nature” through his paintings of English landscapes. Popular acclaim only reached Constable after his death in 1837, due to his rejection of the era’s dominant Classicism. A hand-selected piece from the exclusive partnership between Rosenstiels and Four Hands. Rosenstiels is a family-owned art publisher known for producing high-quality prints, limited editions and wall art, based in London since 1880.

The Artist, D’Alessandro Leon, was the youngest of three brothers. When art competitions were a form of play for the brothers, it later grew into his obsession. D’Alessandro attended the Art Institute of California where he explored mixing mediums as well as digital. He also attended illustration, Sculpting, and Fine Art workshops. After spending long periods of time studying different techniques, D’Alessandro’s art became increasingly influenced by artists from the early 1900s. During D’Alessandro’s studies, he painted many different themes. He painted with restless intensity, often painting from morning until night. D’Alessandro was able to indulge his earliest artistic preferences for people, nature, architecture, and landscapes in his illustration and personal pieces.

Aileen Fitzgerald’s art work is amazing.. this is my second piece of hers. She takes a field in Texas country into your home for a feeling of tranquility. I love her neutral wash technique of painting. I will not purchase from Perigold as the shipping box was completely broken and soaking wet when it had not rained at all in my area for days. Luckily the art work and frame was not affected. 5 stars for Ms Fitzgerald .. 1 star for Perigold.. Linda. Wake Forest, NC. Sat Dec 27 2025
