There's more to Indiana than meets the eye. Thin pencil rattan is woven to create a perfectly spherical shade that is wrapped around an antique brass steel frame and suspended from a contrasting gray cord. Though the design seems simple, the rattan weave intersects in a star-shaped pattern at the bottom and works to create an intricate shadow play when in use. We envision this suited for traditional and coastal settings, styled in multiples.

Boasting a beautiful organic form the Ashburn pendant establishes a strong presence in a space while remaining light and airy. The spheroid frame is crafted from natural buri midribs that are woven in such a way that they appear to whirl around the iron frame especially when in use. Paired with an antique brass pipe for an unexpected element that refines its organic form.

Clean, overlapping forms of natural rattan form a double-shaded pendant that is more than the sum of its parts. Accented with a playful tassel detail, this fixture suspends from a chain of antique brass-plated iron secured to an antique brass canopy that mirrors the rounded forms of the shades. Like a magnetic field surrounding the central lantern, almost 100 strips of upholstered banding are made to create each of these pendants. the bands are made of a super pliable material and simple beige cotton, the lantern is from white cotton, and the fixture suspends from a stainless steel stem finished in warm antique brass. The filtered light comes from a single bulb, casting a wonderful glow and soft, linear shadows. additional pipe available (pipe-101).

Makers utilize old-world techniques to create this luxurious and modern piece. Made with hundreds of thin sticks, derived from a palm in the Asian tropics, the pendant is formed using traditional techniques practiced to make fishing baskets.
