Editing my review from before. This sideboard has grown on me, however, as a warning to others, it is NOT a true black. That is why I was very upset before—I had wanted a true black. It is, however, not dark brown either. I say this because we have the darkest hardwood floors out there and it is not even close to those. It is truly a mix of black and the darkest of browns. It is a great height and has been incredibly useful for storage in our living room. (We have a brown stone fireplace that came with the house. I think if we didn’t have that there, then we might not notice the brown in it as much, if that makes sense?) Hope this helps.
