Our Story

Périgold is, first and foremost, an exceptional love story involving Golden Retrievers. I live in the country and enjoy the outdoors. The Golden Retriever is therefore a valued companion. It is playful and easy to train, in addition to possessing an irreproachable temperament. I always trust my dogs, regardless of the person who comes to visit.

Breeding is carried out in a family setting, and my dogs are definitely part of my family as any other member. They share our home along with my son, Vincent, and our two cats, Merlin and Edwidg, with whom they get along splendidly. My dogs are my playmates, whether it be during hunting season, hiking sprees, or even in the winter while snowshoing. They thoroughly enjoy V.I.P. outings during dog show events, as well as their stay in hotel settings.

The breeding males and females I selected come from a rich lineage of champions whose temperament is jovial and lively. Being a physician by profession, I use a set of stringent criteria in ascertaining the health of the lineages from which my dogs arise, and that of the litters they will produce. All of us know how excruciatingly difficult it is when we see our companions get sick, and therefore every negative aspect that can be prevented through genetics means is carefully scrutinized with appropriate testing.

I seize every learning and training opportunity that I can in this field, whether it be dog handling, dog psychology or animal health. Upgrading my own knowledge in these areas is crucial to me.
